This issue is one of many stunning designs emanating from Poland in the 1930s.

The stamp depicts stylised soldiers and was designed by T. Gronowski. It celebrated the Centenary of the “November Uprising” (November 29,1830) and was issued on 1 November, 1930.

There were four values: 5g. purple, 15g. blue, 25g. red-brown and 30g. rosine. Typo and Perf 12½ x 13.

The set would make a handsome addition to a military or soldiers topical collection.

Collectors of Poland might like to send us a scan of some of their favourite Polish stamps. Perhaps you could tell us why you collect Poland…

If you exhibit Poland, why not send us some scans of some of your frames? We would love to hear from you!
