Bradbury Wilkinson recess-printed a pictorial series for Ascension released in November 1956.
The stamps depicted the scenery and wildlife of the island. A map of the island appeared on the 1d. denomination while a map of the South Atlantic showing Ascension’s position in regard to the international cable network was depicted on the 2d. value.
