From the PDb archives comes this interesting postal card from the German Post Office in Constantinople sent to the xylographist for the King of Serbia in April,1893 (only a matter of weeks prior to the parliament election to decide on one of the contenders to the throne).
The image shows the King Alexander, who became King in 1893.
Nota bene: The card appears to have arrived in Serbia before it was sent, this is because Belgrade still adhered to the Serbian Orthodox calendar.
An interesting piece of postal stationery with a most unusual destination…
