The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) will release the 2014 Joint Stamp issue between the Philippines and Vatican City State which will feature the incumbent head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis.
Postmaster General Josie Dela Cruz hopes to present the stamps to the Holy See which will coincide with the scheduled corridor marketing campaign of PHLPost this coming April in Rome.
The Vatican Postal Administration would also produce a stamp bearing the same design which will be both issued this coming March 21, 2014.
PhlPost recently printed 90,000 pieces of the special “Pope Francis Year II, Joint Issue between the Philippines – Vatican City”, which sells at Php40.00 each.
Pope Francis has been noted for his humility and his concern for the poor.
Stamps and souvenir sheet shall be available at all PHLPost post shop and post offices nationwide.
