This is one of a number of short films produced by the General Post Office Film Unit in the 1930s and 1940s. The British Film Institute and the British Postal Museum Archive have now collected these on three volumes of DVD entitled Addressing the Nation.

This particular short is a four-minute surreal gem made in 1935 by Len Lye.
