Alfred de Musset 91810-1857) was a French poet and playwright.

He achieved success with the volume of poems ‘Contes d’Espagne et d’Italie/’Stories of Spain and italy’ 1829. His ‘Confession d’un enfant du siecle/’Confessions of a Child of the Century’ 1835 recounts his broken relationship with George Sand.
