Nowadays Post Offices from around the world depict not only influential personalities but also cartoon, movie and comics characters. And these items are widely favoured of stamp collectors and philately lovers from various countries.

This time the Royal Mail has teamed up with entertainment company FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment to create new stamps dedicated to the iconic cartoon character Danger Mouse.

StampNews.com invites our readers to throw a look at this positive and colorful stamp issue.

The stamps sheet was released just before the start of the brand new series of Danger Mouse on CBBC – exactly 34 years after its original television debut. It includes images of key characters and scenes from the original 1980′s series, alongside 10 existing First Class Union Flag postage stamps, all contained in a special folder.

In addition to the super cool secret agent, other characters appearing on the sheet are erstwhile sidekick Penfold, Head of British Secret Service, Colonel K and arch villain Baron Greenback.

161 episodes of this classic and timeless cartoon were produced featuring the adventures of international super spy Danger Mouse and his best friend, Penfold, who regularly come up against their arch enemy and evil genius, Baron Greenback.

Their headquarters is located in a postbox in Central London, which appears both on the sheet and folder. In addition, Penfold derived his name from the Penfold postbox, which celebrates its 150th anniversary next year.
