Michele Allberto. An Italian racing driver born in 1956 in Milan, Michele Alboreto competed in 194 Formula 1 Grand Prix races between 1981 and 1994. In 1985, with Ferrari, he finished second in the world behind Alain Prost. In 1995, he switched to sports prototypes. He was killed in 2001 on the German Lausitz circuit while training for the Le Mans 24 Hours race. Michele Alboreto has remained in the hearts of his fellow Italians as a fiery, talented driver.
