Senegambia and Niger was a former French colony and now part of Mali, which issued its own postage stamps between 1903 and 1906.
The colonial key-type design of the Tablet series was issued in July 1903, in denominations of 1 centime to 1 franc.
Three years later the stamps inscribed for Upper Senegal and Niger were substituted.
The territory was later incorporated in the French Sudan and has used the stamps of Mali since 1959.
