Australia’s 1965 Christmas stamp was issued on Wednesday, October 20 and remained on sale for about nine weeks.
The 5d. stamp was printed in blue, brown, black and gold colours by the photogravure process at the Note Printing Branch of the Reserve Bank of Australia.
The design, the work of John Mason, of Armadale, Victoria, depicts a nativity scene.
The issue would make a fine addition to a Christmas on stamps collection.

If you collect Christmas stamps, you would be well-advised to join COROS (Collectors of Religion on Stamps), a highly-respected Unit of the American Topical Association.
